Your Activity

Hat Weaving

You will learn directly from villagers how to weave a traditional Balinese farmer hat using natural materials, guided step by step by local artisans. After the workshop, enjoy time in the village and connect with your host family in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The experience continues with making Lak-Lak, a traditional Balinese sweet snack made from rice flour, coconut, and palm sugar. You will prepare, cook, and taste your own Lak-Lak fresh from the pan, using time-honored techniques passed down through generations.

Our Effort for Sustainable Tourism

Using Tourism to Empower Communities

Bali’s 80% source of income, tourism, is undergoing a transformation. While modern attractions overshadow traditional values, our mission is to use Bali’s main industry to preserve it’s cultural heritage and empowering local communities. Through our trips, travelers immerse in authentic experiences, while a portion of the proceeds is reinvested to sustain these traditions and uplift the community.

Supporting Local Livelihoods & Living Traditions

This experience directly supports the people and traditions of Pemanis Village by creating fair, community-led income opportunities rooted in nature and culture. A significant portion of each booking goes straight to local farmers, artisans, and cultural teachers, helping sustain the village economy while preserving ancestral practices such as traditional leaf hat weaving, local culinary heritage, and land-based knowledge connected to the Subak irrigation system. By participating, you help nurture living traditions, support small-scale livelihoods, and ensure that cultural wisdom continues to be passed on with dignity and care.
